Tender Mornings is an occasional love note of tender moments, tiny wonders, and things worth remembering.

Autumn Fox is a mother, gatherer and daydreamer living in the Hudson Valley of New York. Most of her memories from childhood are set in her grandparents’ backyard, writing poetry to the flowers, gardening with her grandmother or curled up with a book held by the roots of her family’s oak tree. These early childhood comforts were foundational to the writing practice she holds today. Her work is deeply rooted in the intersections between nature and motherhood and there is a love letter to her daughter woven into every essay she writes. When Autumn isn’t writing about herself in the third person, she enjoys foraging pine cones with her toddler. hand-sewing crooked quilts and tending to her sourdough starter.
